Octopus Shops

Headquartered in London’s über-fashionable Carnaby Street, Octopus Shops specialise in off-beat clothing, accessories and homewares. Octopus also maintains a number of satellite stores across the UK.

In mid-2011 Inbay assumed responsibility for managing and maintaining the
Octopus IT infrastructure both in the London head office and across the regional
outlets. Inbay implemented a Microsoft Small Business Server solution to
provide a solid, centralised platform upon which all of the Octopus Stores can
operate.

This technology partnership ensures that Octopus receives end-user support,
network connectivity management and full maintenance of all IT and telecoms-
related systems from Inbay. Octopus stores also have a Voicenet Solutions
hosted VoIP telephony solution to provide cost-effective telecommunications
between stores that Inbay manage, allowing each store to focus on the retailing
side of their business.

For total network and data security, Octopus also makes use of Inbay’s online
backup facility for remote disaster recovery purposes.
