Account Manager

The Account Manager is the person in charge of managing a company’s ongoing relationships with its customers. You will be in charge of building long-term relationships with a group of customers and generally stay with customers for the length of their relationship with the company. The goal is to keep clients or accounts as long as possible.


The Account Manager may be in charge of finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof during the course of their tenure but their focus primarily and most importantly will be long term partner management and growth. Other tasks may involve strategic planning, sales support, conflict resolution and some marketing activities.


Job Duties

  • Generate sales among client accounts, including up-selling and cross-selling
  • Operates as the point of contact for assigned customer accounts
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
  • Makes sure clients receive requested services in a timely fashion
  • Communicates client needs and demands to the company
  • Forecasts and tracks client account metrics
  • Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
  • Identifies opportunities to grow business with existing clients
  • Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
  • Collaborates with sales team to reach prospective clients
  • Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines
  • Keep records of client transactions

Job Summary

  • To provide excellent customer service and support through efficient, organized call and ticket management
  • Liaising with customers, Inbay NOC, third-party support organisations with regards to incident requests and resolutions
  • Providing resolution to incidents and requests, to include (but not limited to):
    • LAN and WAN troubleshooting
    • Desktop support knowledge across all major operating systems
    • Server operating system and server application support
